Petition to Governor for pardon, 1914.

This series consists of one petition and six pieces of correspondence concerning a petition for pardon from Governor Martin Glynn on behalf of Arthur Chieinstein. Under the state's constitution the governor was authorized to grant pardons and commute sentences. The petition itself is three pages and contains background information regarding Cheinsteins's Case and is accompanied with 30 pages of signatures. The correspondence deals with Cheinstein's behavior since his incarceration and letters of acknowledgement from the governors office.
